Urbandecay Pulp Fiction Limited Edition Review

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

There is something about limited edition that gives me excited tingles, like how when you were little you couldnt sleep Christmas eve, or if Halloween fell on a school day and the only talk was about costumes and not multiplication tables. Limited edition is my adult Halloween and Urban Decay is legit like my Santa (Ok so maybe if gone off the deep end with this comparison). But recently Urban Decay came out with a limited edition line, all centered around the 20th Anniversary of the cult classic film Pulp Fiction Below is my views on what i picked up from the line and if it is worth the money.
The mother load in this collection is the pallet which retails for $34 and is a four pan set up in a cardboard but magnetically closed little compact. For those out there who love urban decay you know Matte shades arent what they are know for, bold beautiful and lots of shine and glitter are usually the call of the day. So i was pleasantly surprised to see that three shades in this are totally matte with two, the lightest of the bunch, having a slight sheen, one more intense then the other. She shadows arent small and will last a while as most shadows really do. But what we really want to know it the stay power right?
As is the standard with UD shadows these do not disappoint. They are so soft, and blendable and the staying power is intense. I used a simple Elf primer on my lips the first time i used these and by the end of the night my eyes were the only thing still in place. They are colors you can build to bold or keep simple and everyday wear, for work or for school, and are a sound investment for any UD lover who doesnt have neutral shadows in matte from them. So you probably have dupes for there? Sure, its possible with nudes especially, but for those who love, collect makeup or just really like Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction, this is a must.
The next things i picked up, almost a week after i had my pallet to play with, and that was the liner and lipstick in the set, both aptly named Mia Wallace. They are in the same packaging as UD's other liners and lipsticks but the boxes were special packaging.
The Lipstick is so creamy when going on can you say love? This is my first Urban Decay lipstick and all i can think of is getting more. They are so creamy and moisturizing. I thought that without a doubt because they were so creamy it would have no staying power but even worn alone without the liner i still had lipstick on after i ate dinner! It feels so smooth on and the color is PERFECT to usher in the cooler fall weather that will be on its way soon!
I have learned that not all lipliners are created equal. I do have some drug store ones im in love with (And will do a post about for you guys soon) But my baby when it comes to liner, lip and eye alike, is Urban Decay. Usually i do my nude lips with UD liner because of the staying power and i wasnt dissapointed with this one. ITs so creamy and pigmented that it could be worn alone, or with a gloss, or paired with the lipstick. There really is no short coming for this liner at all and i think everyone should have atleast one UD liner even if its not from this collection.
The swatches here, as well as the ones above, are all single swiped onto my skin, so imagine building these colors, with a light or heavy hand the staying power is so intense!
What do you guys think of this line? Will you be picking up any of the bits they have? Any others you know of coming out soon you cant wait to get your hands on?

Have a wonderful Tuesday ladies!
