Sunday, June 19, 2016

Ive found that shopping for one thing just isnt possible. True, I always intend to just get one thing, but if im in store or online its a guarantee my cart is going to be filled. So this is one of those so times. Recently I wanted an SPF for my face, and it all kind of snowballed from there.

The Products-
SPF 30 Sport Sunscreen by Juice Beauty
Aqua Prime Base Spray by Makeup Revolution
Pro Fix Oil Control Makeup Fixing Spray by Makeup Revolution (This was actually for my mother. Im a dry baby and she isnt even a little bit. I had given her my elf setting spray but it broke her out. So this is our second go at finding her one that works for her.)
Vegas Nay Classic Charm Lashes by Eylure
Rose Gold Lipstick by Makeup Revolution - Chauffeur
Soft Matte Lip Cream by Nyx Cosmetics - London
Butter Bronzer Murumuru Butter Bronzer by Physicians Formula - Bronzer

I havent had a chance to play with everything yet but reviews on my favorite will likely come soon. If theres anything I need to try right away do let me know. Or any other gems from these brands I should be on the lookout for? Do let me know beauties!

Makeup crush Friday! Cara Delevingne

Friday, September 26, 2014

Hey there turtle doves! So when i was thinking about who next to feature on a makeup crush Friday i was torn. Ive done an actress, and a singer, should i keep going for diverse job wise? Then i realized who i wanted to use and she made the choice for me! Cara Delevingne is an English Model and really just so epically beautiful. And she has the it feature of the last year in spades.

As someone born with a really strong brow it is so reassuring to me to see this trend... ten years ago plucking them into nothing was a thing and it was very painful with as full as my brow is. But now we are not only taught to embrace them, but shape them, fill them in properly and rock them like they are a staple handbag or pair of shoes, fiercely. Cara is the embodiment of this for me and the reason why i chose her today. Usually people will see light hair and assume that your brows should be weaker, Cara dances that fine line of being a blonde and having firm brows that aren't totally brown.

For me ive never had this problem as i have chocolate brown hair its easy to match my brows. And i have a ton of brow products because of that. Below im going to feature some of my favorites, the things i just cant live without when im putting on my face. I use both drug store and high end so there is a little something for everyone and all price points.

The Products-
* Elf Eyebrow Kit
* Anastasia Brow Wiz
* NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder
* Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

Are their any brow products im totally missing out on? Anything you lovely ladies use to rock the epic Cara brows?

Go to summer lip looks

Thursday, July 17, 2014

I know the norm for makeup, or the typical expectations is follow the trends and the seasons. I dont do any of that! MAkeup is about having fun, expressing yourself, i like to think of it as a temporary tattoo, body art for the commitment phobic. You can do whatever, be whoever, look however you want. And that goes from movie makeup and prosthetics to everyday foundation and blush.

These have been my go to lip looks in the last month or so, and im so not tired of them yet. They all dont follow the 'seasonal trends' but they make me feel awesome and the combinations are amazing and long lasting.

Look One-
* Little Mix by Collection Lipstick in Perrie
* UrbanDecay 27/7 glide on lip liner in Midnight Cowboy
* Butter London Lippy in Tea with the Queen

Look Two-
* MUA Kiss You Lipstick in Moments
* NYX Retractable lip liner in Soft Pink
* NYX Butter gloss in Eclair

Look Three-
* MUA Kiss You Lipstick in Be Mine
* NYX Retractable lip liner in Red
* Button London Lippy in Fiddlesticks

Look Four-
* Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya * Too Faced Perfect lips Lip liner in Perfect Nude * NYX Lip butter in Apple Strudel

Now MUA and Collection arent something sold in the states (Thank you ebay) but for those of you in the UK and other areas where it is sold i will link the sites. And you can find Urban Decay, NYX, Butter London and Too Faced here in the states at the one stop shop of Ulta, who i will also link below.

I line and then fill in my lips with liner. Then slather on the lipstick of choice, and then top with gloss. How much or little of the gloss depends on how thick or sticky it is but then even with the gloss my lips are set and last for hours if i dont eat or drink anything, and even then sometimes just needing a touch up.

Do you guys have any special tips or tricks for keeping your lips in place all day long?

Saturday Staples!

Saturday, July 12, 2014

Instead of the average Friday favorites here we are gonna have a little thing called Saturday Staples! The thing through the week that i couldn't live without, loved, or in the case of this week have just found and are quickly becoming holy grail status!

Now this week i didnt have a huge list, i only wore a full face of makeup twice, the other days it was very low key, lippy and that was pretty much it. BUT this week i had some solid loves which i will list below.

* Cover Girl Flamed out water proof mascara ~ Very Black Blaze

* Physicians Formula Super CC+ ~ Light/Medium

* NYX Eyebrow cake powder ~ Taupe/Ash

* Nyx Chunky Dunk ~ Orange Splash

* Cillection Little Mix Lipstick ~ Perrie

With Honorable Mentions to My makeup bag from this Junes Ipsy. Its the everyday, change out the products to take on the go for the day bag and the print is adorable. Also playing on a loop this week has been Ed Sheerans new album Multiply.... its so worth the buy, you have to listen to every song, its even better then his first album! All of these actually are very worth the try, and id be happy to do more in depth reviews for anyone who'd like to see more.

And remember to have a happy Saturday!
