Septembers Ipsy Glam Bag!

Thursday, September 24, 2015

Another beauty subscription? Why yes, because I have many and I love them all. I feel like maybe in time I can stop with them, I have a ton of makeup, skincare and hair care but im always trying to find something better. Its like pursuit of the American Dream but instead of trying to become filthy rich I want to find the perfect cream for my curls. But I digress, this is about sharing all the amazing things I got in this months Ipsy bag!

The Products-

Liptini Special Edition Lipstick in Scarlet Cocktail- Now this one I was so so excited about and it is even better then I expected it to be! Its not only so creamy and has that vanilla MAC smell but its such a good color! The staying power is really really good for such a creamy lipstick and with a liner I got hours out of it. Its moisturizing and such an easy application though since it has such a rounded edge id suggest those with smaller lips might prefer using a lip brush with this instead of going right form the tube. It was much easier to cleanly apply to my larger bottom lip them my lightly smaller upper lip. But by no means a deal breaker, this lipstick is amazing and will be one of my fall staples.

NYX Cosmetics ipsy Eye Shadow Trio- Now I love simple eyeshadow palettes. Small enough to keep in my bag, great color pay off and affordable? Sign me up! So when I saw this exclusive NYX shadow set was on its way to me I was so so excited. NYX shadows are always so pigmented, easy to work with and really affordable. So while this one cant be found in stores they have so many great little sets and loose shadows that are worth having a look at.

Eau Thermale Avène Soothing Moisture Mask- Now this is one I havent tried yet. The properties on it sound amazing "This rich, creamy, non-setting skincare mask provides intensive soothing care to dehydrated and over-stressed skin." Im all about that life. But considering this is such a tiny trial size (.16fl oz) and I have SUCH dry skin I dont want to waste it on a normal try on. Its being saved to try on a pamper night which should be super fun.

Bayberry Naturals Rosehip & Hibiscus Moisturizer- This smells like nothing which was so disappointing! I was expecting this amazing tropical kind of floral and it has no scent. Bummer for me but for anyone who loves a naked scent so it doesn't clash with your other products then this is right up your ally. But scent aside does this work? Yes it feels so good on the skin makes you feel soft and supple and settles into the skin nicely, no greasy feeling that makes it uncomfortable to touch things after the fact.

Formula X Nail Color in Ignite- The excitment was real when I saw this was in my glam bag! I love formula X and while its not the most expensive polish in the world its not the cheapest either. Also its from Sephora so if you are like me and without a local store its online orders or nothing. So I only have a couple of this line but they are all so amazing. Worth the price tag I assure you. And this color is not only perfect for fall but goes with the lipstick we got as well! Talk about lucky, I am one of those weirdos that love to match my nails to some aspect of my makeup, usually my lips.

Not only was all of this amazing to get but in one of the cutest glam bags that we have ever got! Seriously its in the top five and feels super sturdy. Over all this was an amazing glam bag and I cant wait to see what we get next month! If you dont yet get ipsy and want to check it out you can find more information on this epic service HERE. And if you are a suspcriber already let me know what goodies you got different from mine, and how your liking anything you got in this months bag.

August Ipsy Bag!

Monday, August 18, 2014

August usually isn't my month. Here in the north east we get lots of rain, intense heat and 100% humidity all day everyday. The one thing that really has been something I'm looking forward to is Ipsy! And this months bag was one of my favorites! Wanna see what I got?
Now this months theme was school, and with some already back and other heading there I thought that was a very cute idea.
The bag is white and tangerine, with a plain white interior. It's long and very like a pencil case which is fitting with the theme. It's a nice size, and it fits nicely in my purse though it also would serve as a really cute pencil case for any ipsy subbie who might need it.
The first product is one I actually already have but really nobody can have to many primers right? It is the pores no more by dr Brandt. I've not used it a lot and not a great smell but it does do the job though I don't have large pores primers help as I prefer bb creams over heavy foundations.
The second is. Lip balm and I actually have this as well but again something you can never have to much of. Though if I don't use my other soon I'll probably gift it to my mom. But I love the absolute New York balms and own three to date.
Next was something I was really excited about as I own zero Costal Scents things and it takes me forever to hit pan on a blush. It's a fun little duo and handy for travel. And yes that is a coupon code given to us for more makeup fun so everyone who needs it go for it ^_^
Now this lord & berry kajal kohl liner is a tiny sample that's true but it's still something I was so excited to try and from the two times I've used it since I got my bag it's amazing! It has staying power and I've needed makeup wipes and an oil to remove it completely from my eyes.
And the last product, and one I've been so so so excited about was the new Urban decay perversion mascara! I've used this everyday since I got it and I'm so in love. It lengthens so much and gives me some curl so I haven't touched my lash curler all week! I'm in love and will be getting the full size when this one is done. It might even be upsetting my holy grail better then sex mascara, I know I was shocked to!

What did you lovelies get in your ipsy bags this month and did you love it?

Saturday staples!

Saturday, July 19, 2014

This week has been VERY heavy for me on the lips. With the change in weather (One 10 degrees or so but enough your skin can feel the drop in a harsh way) my lips have been feeling really dry, extra rough and needing some love. Also i finally broke out a mascara ive had for months and just realized im in love with. Below is a full list of things i have been reaching for this week.

Little Mix by Collection Full on Mascara in Perries black

Revlon Color Burst Balm Stain in Adore

Tanya Burr Lip gloss in Chic

Pop Beauty Sunkissed Bronzer in Secret Sunshine (I use as a blusher)

Too Faced La Creme Lip Cream in Nude Beach

Maybeline instant age rewind Erase dark circles

Dermadoctor DD cream

Also ive been big time obsessed with listening to Midnight Memories, Little white lies is on a loop every time i work out. Also Squats! Which i cant show a picture of, but man if i didnt do enough to REALLY feel them. So those are my suggestions to try and add into your next week, and make it as amazing as the last one was!

Saturday Staples!

Saturday, July 12, 2014

Instead of the average Friday favorites here we are gonna have a little thing called Saturday Staples! The thing through the week that i couldn't live without, loved, or in the case of this week have just found and are quickly becoming holy grail status!

Now this week i didnt have a huge list, i only wore a full face of makeup twice, the other days it was very low key, lippy and that was pretty much it. BUT this week i had some solid loves which i will list below.

* Cover Girl Flamed out water proof mascara ~ Very Black Blaze

* Physicians Formula Super CC+ ~ Light/Medium

* NYX Eyebrow cake powder ~ Taupe/Ash

* Nyx Chunky Dunk ~ Orange Splash

* Cillection Little Mix Lipstick ~ Perrie

With Honorable Mentions to My makeup bag from this Junes Ipsy. Its the everyday, change out the products to take on the go for the day bag and the print is adorable. Also playing on a loop this week has been Ed Sheerans new album Multiply.... its so worth the buy, you have to listen to every song, its even better then his first album! All of these actually are very worth the try, and id be happy to do more in depth reviews for anyone who'd like to see more.

And remember to have a happy Saturday!

What's in my makeup bag

Wednesday, July 9, 2014

Yes, this mess is my goes in my purse makeup bag! This is the standard, i go into most days and when i cycle things in and out this is where the 'In' stuff goes. Yes, i am a makeup collector, i admit this haha. But If my house was burning, and the kids were already out and safe, my phone, laptop and this bag would be what i brought out of the flames with me. As you can see i have a wide range of stuff, some high end and alot of drug store. Under ill have a picture of everything more cleaned up and orderly. The fun bit about makeup is playing with all of this stuff and finding out what really works for you, your personal favorites, and then rocking them whenever you wanna feel a little bit fancy, his a blemish. Apparently i never fully grew up because these are my toys and i just want more ^_^

Makeup bags!

Tuesday, July 8, 2014

These are my 'everyday' makeup bags. Since i sadly dont have a vanity where i can lay out all my pretties i have to compartmentalize my makeup and shift through daily. I also have a nice big caboodle and one makeup bag with extras, doubles, or things that are slightly darker or lighter then i am at the moment. But these are the ones i delve into the most. The Green Ted baker holds the bulk of my everyday makeup, (No i dont clown it up, i like to try and switch out products as much as possible to try new things and not be a total hoarder lol.) The pink Betsey Johnson bag holds my brushes and my beauty blender, so they are isolated and can be kept clean. And the little one from i believe May 2014 Ipsy holds lip balms and things i might reach for on days when i dont actually wear any makeup at all. The bags themselves can change, depending on if i want to downsize my daily makeup mess or just see something new. I have way to many makeup bags, this is true. But with someone dealing with limited space this is a great solution. Also using slightly smaller bags to separate things (Shadows in one, liners in another)is a great solution if you need to clean up your makeup but dont have the space to lay it all out for your daily use on a vanity.
